RYS 200 Hour Core Curriculum of Yoga Alliance
In your current practice you may have become familiar with the Eight limbs of yoga, your asana practice, possibly a spiritual practice of yoga.
Here you will begin your journey to deepen your yoga through understanding the history, philosophy, the science. Knowledge in any subject begins with its history, the lineage of yoga and contributions made to different styles. Ayurveda sometimes called a sister science I believe to be the mother science to Yoga, where you will gain a basic knowledge of this life science. You will learn to deliver a mediation and the nervous system and brain waves involved in meditation. How to teach your students to become more focused in their practice, and be fully present. There is really so much to learn: invocations, mantras, mudras.
As you move through your journey, your practice deepens and your style may change, just as the caterpillar into the butterfly. As you learn you maybe drawn to various aspects in the training that allow you to develop personally, professionally, spiritually in your own practice and life. It is a great joy for me to provide you with what you need to find your dharma in yoga.
