In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the science of Ayurveda. Your unique psyco-social body humor - dosha. Our digestion is key to sustaining a healthy life. Learn what imbalances your digestion? What causes Ama or toxins in the body? learn how to clear toxins, improve degestion and build immunity.
How well do you know the femininie body you have lived in for 20,30,40,50 years? Over the course of a womans lifetime many changes will occur. We first look at the cycles in a month, V,P,K. Your doshic expression of the monthly cycle. the effects of lifestyle on the cycle. Pregnancy, birth, vitiations in the cycle. Endocrine system, hormone fluctuations. How to address needs in those cycles, balanced diet, herbs, yoga, meditation.
pre-req: Ayurveda Fundamentals.
There are 107 marma points in the body. As you move through your yoga asana practice you will stretch, compress, twist through the points. In this workshop you will be directed to the point and have the optinon to place a drop of oil to gently massage into the point. Then stretch through the point. very therapeutic.

This workshop was designed to serve a larger community of people wanting to practice yoga.
Current statistic reveal rise in over fifty population seeking benefits of yoga. The stability ball provides a base of support for beginner, post injury, pregnancy, or difficulty with a vinyasa flow with changes where vertical to horizontal are not well tolerated. The class structure is a flowing sequence, not diminish by the ball as there are challenges.
The manual includes a section for more advanced students/instructors challenge.
THE PRACTICE with the ball flows from seated postures to standing, kneeling, seated on mat and supine. While the ball assist with the asana, it also deepens the sensation of the stretch, and with progressions provides challenge.

This workshop is about stepping out of the confines of what you know, how you do it. Open your mind, change your patterning -
Allowing yourself to experience a physical shift that effects the way you think. A re-programming of optimal function and sensation.
What you will learn:
1. Posture alignment with a partner in standing – Bi-pedal.
Head position - Shoulder position – appropriate ROM
Scapula – scapular winging - plank
ASIS and PSIS joint - Hip – ball and socket - ROM
Knees – IR, ER, Q angle
Ankles – rotation, elevation, foot position, pivotal motion
2. Posture alignment on all fours – spinal balance w doll rod.
3. Hip stability
supine and standing in the following postures
Bridge, Down dog, Forward fold, Warrior – closed/open hip, foot position, stance
4. The Back or Spine
What is appropriate extension for the spine - who's in cobra, baby cobra, up dog.
Sphinx, change sensation - core control or glut
Fulcrum -hip hinge effected by arm placement – fulcrum and lever
Lateral bending and Rotation – measurement in degrees ROM
So, "You want to own your own studio?"
Ownning your own studio is much deeper than ego. It is alot of hard work!
First things first - you need to develop a sound business plan. This plan will include many aspect of accouning. Capital expense: initial start up funding. Budgeting, marketing, quarterly projections, annual projections.
